Modeling and Simulation of Solar Pumping System feed in an Induction Motor with PSIM

Abstract:
Solar water pumping becoming more popular recently, especially in remote areas where the grid connection is not available. Easy to design, environmentally friendly, affordable to invest in, and very low cost to operate, solar solutions have many programmatic advantages. This report is dedicated to the implementation of a conversion system designed to power a three-phase asynchronous motor for pumping applications in remote areas through photovoltaic panels. As there is no storage unit, an auxiliary tank is also provided in order to allow water to be pumped during the day and to be able to use it even during the night. An electrical power conversion system was therefore implemented consisting of a DC / DC converter and a three-phase inverter with relative controls. The system proposed above is simulated with the help of PSIM software to analyze the behavior of the system.
